With today’s hustle culture, we sometimes put our health aside in order to achieve financial independence or financial freedom. But what is the use of all the money, the title and the success that we accomplish if we can’t enjoy it or we are still unhappy?

What we need to have is financial wellness.

Learn what financial wellness actually means as I chat with my good friend Jason Vitug. Jason is a wellness expert, bestselling author, speaker and founder of Phroogal.com. He is the creator of the Plutus Award winning Road to Financial Wellness project, and a certified yoga teacher and breath work specialist.

In this episode, Jason shares how and when his interest for financial wellness began. And, with the opportunity to climb the corporate ladder and all the success he experienced for his fintech company, he discussed why it’s more important to chase our purpose and not the money.

He opens up about the depressive stage in his life and how he got out of it. He also shares the need to have a holistic approach with our money and health so that we can live healthier, happier, and better lives.

What You Will Learn From This Episode

  • What is financial wellness and why it’s so important
  • How financial wellness differs to financial independence or financial freedom
  • Why it’s more important to chase our purpose and not the money
  • The importance of listening to our body and physical state
  • Actionable steps to improve financial wellness
